(Kittens need to be at least 12 weeks old to receive their first rabies vaccination)

  • As a new kitten owner, your kitten must receive a series of three FRCP vaccinations (AKA “kitten shots”) to be protected.
  • The first vaccination needs to be administered no earlier than 6 weeks of age.
  • At WVMVC, we administer these three vaccinations in three separate appointments called “Kitten Plan” appointments.  Your kitten will need to have all three Kitten Plan appointments.
  • The three appointments should be 2-3 weeks apart
  • After a cat has had all of his/her kitten vaccines, only yearly vaccinations are needed.
